Another week has passed and I still haven't managed to get back to my sewing machine. I have been cross stitching in the evenings though, and I've finished the First Day of Christmas by Hello from Liz Mathews.
I still need to turn it into a 3D tree, but at the moment it's just waiting on the finishing pile. I love the linen I chose for this one - it's 32 count Wichelt linen in a lovely pale green.

Everyone who has asked and paid for a block has a block in the mail to them. This turned out to be an international swap! Whoop! Whoop! Canada, Australia, Germany and France all will be participating. I hope the blocks arrive in a reasonable amount of time.

read moreWe got hit with a surprise snow. Mother Nature was up to her usual tricks of trying to put a bump in my road. Usually if your trees or veggies have put out buds, you will lose them. It has caused many a farmer concern about how much fruit they will lose. Not the case in my strawberry bed. Look at all the blooms!

I told you I was going to need an intervention, but you didn't believe me. The thing about being a gardener is you sit all winter and wish it was spring/summer. You plan for all the things you will grow. You plan for all the new things you have never tried. You think about past successes and failures. Then those seed catalogs start coming.
